Not uncommonly, Ms. Aguilar was worried that she was going to experience a lot of pain and that it was going to be a slow, difficult recovery from her procedure. But she was so unhappy with her body that she was reluctant to interact with other people socially, and she was determined to make a change. Also, she felt comfortable with Dr. Dodds, having worked with her as a health care professional.

“I never thought it was going to be easy and fast, and I worried that I was going to feel pain. But I didn’t, and I came back to work in just two days,” she says. “Now I feel better, I look better and I feel more confident about myself.”

Ms. Aguilar has now gone back to school, where she is studying to become a registered nurse. She says she now eats a healthy diet and exercises regularly with long walks, “because I want to keep my new figure.” As for the reaction from family and friends, “Everybody notices the difference in me. They say I look great….I really do recommend it.”
