Before having her kids, Julie was a 34-B cup. Four years and three kids later, her size had dropped dramatically. “You could actually count my ribs on both sides; that’s how much breast tissue I had left.” She would have to alter her clothing because those that fit her hips and shoulders would be too big for her chest. “I literally had to buy bras from the pre-teen department.” So Julie decided to get a natural breast augmentation. Before going in, Julie feared the procedure would hurt, or make her breasts look lumpy. But everything happened just as her doctors described. “They basically predicted what was going to happen right when it would happen.” She spent two weeks in compression garments; after that she went back to her normal activities.

Julie was told not to expect much at first. Her doctors explained that through her own stem cells, the breasts would increase in size over six months as they rebuilt blood supply. Seeing Julie go through the procedure, her husband decided to undergo liposuction around his midsection. “[Ryan] is a big runner and no matter how much weight he lost, he couldn’t get rid of the ‘spare tire.’” Now, she says, he looks amazing. As for her, “I’m a full A cup right now, but I’m fine with it. I don’t have to get my clothes altered anymore.”
